Member 15 posts Posted 18 July 2013 - 07:08 AM Success So this is what I did - managed to do this yesterday shortly after posting here!Ok so this is how i did it:Downloaded Ainol-E4-20130201-tima-usbburning.zip and opened this as the upgrade file in AML Flash ToolHit start - do not select erase nandThis then gave me the backlight but it was bright one half and dark the other halfThen create the recovery card by Gemir - aurora unbricker v2Make sure you put the AML autoscript on the Micro SDSwitch the tablet off - press power for 10 secondsPlace microsd in the tablet and simply remove usb plug and reattachleave for about 3 mins and it will reboot into the correct aurora 2 romStill had the issue of one screen dark, and the other light, remove microsd card.rebooted in the USB flash mode - press power, press minus (-) and press home together for 10 seconds - will pick up as worldcup deviceExtract the 0607.img rom with 7zip and place all these in resources folderCopy the configprogess.xml in the AML Flash folder to resourcesRename u-boot.bin to u-boot-orig.binCopy usbspl.bin into this folderStart AML Flash toolSelect erase nandhit startIt will error at 17% or so as it will not find the device, but you will find the device has restarted with the backlight Replace the micros sd cardSwitch off the tablet, and remove then reattach the usb cable - you will see it boot then start flashing - wait a couple of mins THEN VOILA - WORKING TABLET AGAIN Thanks to Shenzo and Semar! Just to confirm, you've obviously looked at the MTD layout earlier in the post and there's nothing in there that concerns you within that? It opens up a Windows quick format window, asks you to point it to the uboot.bin file enclosed with the recovery files then it embeds it in a separate partition on the card. Is because the edify script in the ZIP is not correct for the labels of your partitions! Edit that script.
